As part of our Eco-Schools programme P2 pupils took part in the RSPB Big Schools' Birdwatch 2026. We were trying to find out which birds visit our school grounds. Prior to the Birdwatch we made bird feeders by covering cardboard tubes with lard and then we rolled the tubes in a tray of bird seed. We hung up our feeders on the fruit trees outside our classroom. Rather than the cardboard tubes going into the recycle bin we were able to reuse them for this Eco-Schools project.
